We're looking to add a Technical Writer to the team! The Technical Writer will be responsible for creating clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation.
Requirements:Primary Responsibilities
1. Develop, write, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including user manuals, API documentation, installation guides, and release notes.
2. Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to gather information and understand documentation requirements.
3. Translate complex technical concepts into easily understandable content for various audiences, including developers, end-users, and non-technical stakeholders.
4. Ensure all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and adheres to company standards and guidelines.
5. Edit and proofread documentation to ensure clarity, consistency, and quality.
6. Utilize various tools and software to create and manage documentation (e.g. Microsoft Word, Confluence, MadCap Flare).
7. Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to continuously improve documentation quality.
8. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in technical writing and documentation.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
1. Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
2. Strong understanding of technical concepts and the ability to explain them clearly.
3. Experience with documentation tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Confluence, MadCap Flare).
4. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects, simultaneously.
5. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
6. Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor s degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, Computer Science or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a Technical Writer or in a similar role.
Additional Comments
1. Standard business hours for this role are 8:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m. ET.
2. Approximately <10% of travel, both local and overnight for company meetings, industry events, trade shows, customer meetings, etc.
