Dynamo Technologies, LLC seeks an Enterprise Architect to support our FAS Enterprise Architecture Support contract.
FAS has a global network of over 90 offices covering 162 countries with 475 users with an additional 775 users in Washington, DC. The global offices are staffed by agricultural attachs and locally hired staff who are the eyes, ears, and voice for United States (U.S.) agriculture around the world. FAS staff identify problems, provide practical solutions, and work to advance opportunities for U.S. agriculture and support U.S. foreign policy around the globe.
Enterprise Architecture (EA) is a management best practice for aligning mission and technology resources to achieve strategic outcomes, improve organizational performance and guide federal agencies to better execute their core missions. An EA describes the current and future state of the agency and lays out a plan for transitioning from the current state to the desired future state. A federal enterprise architecture is a work in progress to achieve these goals.
Duties/ Responsibilities
- Develop modernization plans and technical roadmaps.
- Develop and maintain EA documentation including but not limited to EA Governance Process Plan, Policies, Procedures and Responsibilities, EA Repository, EA Handbook, EA Communication Plan and EA Roadmap.
- Develop and maintain Reference Models (Business Reference Model, Data Reference Model, Application Reference Model, Security Reference Model)
- Provide architecture and tech lead support
- Support business development and other Dynamo Technologies' strategic initiatives
- Support and apply USDA security policy and architecture to reduce vulnerabilities, ensure compliance, and ensure security of systems
Required Skills
- Experience developing and maintaining Reference Models (Business Reference Mode, Data Reference Model, Application Reference Model, and/or Security Reference Model).
- Experience in software architecture and development of enterprise solutions leveraging industry leading platforms and technologies.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, such as Azure or AWS.
- Ability to provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces.
- Experience developing and documenting architecture framework capabilities for use by development teams.
- Experience translating functional designs into technical solutions and implementing software enhancements that introduced new architecture modules, and/or triggered major re-engineering.
- Experience working in Agile development environment.
- Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to plan, organize, and structure work.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills with the demonstrative ability to work with all levels within the organization.
- Possess excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- US Citizenship is required
Nice to Have:
- Experience collaborating with US Government Agencies or state or local governments to develop IT service program maturity in accordance with Federal IT mandates and best practices.
Education and Experience:
- 5 or more years of IT Leadership experience preferably as an Enterprise Architect, Software Architect, Solution Architect, Principal/Senior Engineer (Lead Developer), or similar role

- Ability to obtain a High Risk - T4 Public Trust - (US Citizenship is required for High Risk - T4 Public Trust)
Salary:
- $140-150k The salary range offered is an estimate made in good faith, intended to encompass various experience levels. Dynamo takes into consideration several factors when making an offer, including, but not limited to, the role, its functions and responsibilities, the candidate's work experience, location, educational background, and key skills.
