We are currently searching for a new, full-time member for our team for the position of:
Equipment Specialist (Lead), Senior
Position Responsibilities:
- Support program requirements to include to but not limited to: D043, Commercial Asset Visibility Air
Force (CAV AF), Fedmall, Joint Engineering Data Management Information and Control System (JEDMICS), Enhanced Technical Information Management System (ETIMS), Haystack and other databases relating to the aircraft and its systems to help determine problem areas on assigned systems and items.
- Assist with recommending and developing executable programs to be considered for use in ensuring the operation and evaluation of assigned systems.
- Advise technicians on methods of resolving unusual troubleshooting problems, repairing difficult system malfunctions, conduct research and analysis, and resolve equipment problems with long term AF-wide implications.
- Serve as a technical advisor to senior leaders and maintenance technicians in maintenance, operation and training for the assigned weapon system and associated equipment.
- Assist with all necessary support management actions required to establish and maintain the combat effectiveness of the assigned aircraft and equipment.
- Assist in accomplishing studies, review and analysis of technical problems/malfunctions affecting assigned equipment generated from a variety of sources, including but not limited to Technical Assistance Requests (TARs), DRs, AFTO Form 22/252s, MSTG/SSG, telephone calls, Innovative Development through Employee Awareness (IDEA) and aircraft mishaps.
- Recommend appropriate corrective actions. When corrective actions are presented by using commands, contractors, and others, the Contractor shall assist to evaluate for technical adequacy and economic feasibility.
- Assist in determining the method of implementation, i.e., TCTO or technical order change.
- Support all aspects and levels of program IPTs to include but not limited to, engineering, program management, other equipment specialists, lead and chief engineers and civilian and military leadership within the division, other AFLCMC directorates, AFLCMC headquarters, AFRC, AMC, ACC, NGB, AFSOC, prime weapon system contractors and subcontractors, and other Government and private sector personnel.
- Support trial installations, kit proofs, and TCTO/technical data verification. The Contractor shall assist in reporting findings, kit issues, and corrective actions and make recommendations to the responsible engineer or PM.
- Support feasibility studies and technical evaluations (with the exception of source selections) to ensure that systems, subsystems and equipment being developed are mutually compatible and serve to meet overall operational and technical requirements
- Product Support Assistance -Support the PSM in the development and maintenance of Postproduction Support Plans (PPSP), Postproduction Transition Plans (PPTP), and Transition to Post Production (TPP). Assist in logistics data analysis for critical assets, insurance spares, tooling, and related components.
- Logistics Coordination Coordinate logistics elements such as spares, Support Equipment (SE), training, facilities, technical data, and provisioning in alignment with integrated logistics support requirements. Participate in logistics support management team meetings and program management reviews and Logistics Management Support
- Documentation Preparation Develop, modify, and validate documentation relating to automated logistics systems and management information systems. Assist in the preparation and review of logistics support documentation including Integrated Logistics Support Plans (ILSP), Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSP), and technical manuals.
- Meeting and Program Review Support Facilitate and participate in program reviews, conferences, and meetings to provide status updates and decision-making information on logistics operations.
- Prepare logistics reports and serve as a key participant in discussions related to long-term weapon system supportability strategies.
- Life Cycle Supportability Analysis Conduct logistically focused analyses, including readiness assessments and cost analyses to determine life cycle supportability. Assist with tasks related to total life cycle supportability, including problem analysis and the definition of alternative solutions.
- Supportability Strategy Development Contribute to the development of a product support strategy that integrates acquisition and sustainment phases throughout the weapon system lifecycle. Assess logistics impacts and recommend strategies that incorporate Performance-Based Logistics (PBL) principles.
- Training and Technical Support Serve as a technical advisor to senior leaders and maintenance teams regarding the assigned weapon systems and associated equipment. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues impacting aircraft and equipment effectiveness.
- Data Management and Analysis Conduct research and analysis using systems such as D043, CAV AF, JEDMICS, and other databases to identify and resolve problem areas. Support program requirements by performing analyses of equipment, spares, and logistics support data.
- Additional Responsibilities Perform logistics studies, resource requirements analyses, and recommend corrective actions based on findings. Document and report on logistics support alternatives and their impacts on overall program performance.

Required Qualifications
- Secret or Top-Secret DoD clearance; US Citizenship required
One of the following combinations of education/experience:
- Advanced Degree (Master of Arts (MA)/Master of Science (MS)) and twelve (12) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five (5) years of which must be in the DoD
- BA/BS degree, and fifteen (15) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five (5) of which must be in the DoD
- High school diploma and twenty (20) years of directly related experience, eight (8) of which must be in the DoD.
- Secret or Top Secret DoD clearance; US Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
- CF6 engine experience
