  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.

Dean s Professional Services is now hiring a qualified Pre-Analytical Assistantto work for a Lab Facilityin Tampa, FL.

APre-Analytical Assistantis responsible for general support functions within the Technical Operations Department.

Job Duties :

  • Patient preparation, specimen collection, identification, preservation, transportation, processing
  • Clerical duties, laboratory assistant duties
  • Sorting, racking, and delivery of specimens, specimen storage, centrifugation, aliquoting
  • Identifies problems with specimen types, missing information, etc., about sorting, racking, centrifuging, delivery, and storage of specimens; can resolve or forward information in support of timely problem resolution.
  • Understanding of specimen types related to test(s) ordered.
  • Clinical department requirements about specimen types and quantity needed for each test, specimen handling, and delivery.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of compliance policies related to test ordering, which requires developing the ability to research test order information on translation tables, computer systems, and the directory of services.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
  • Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for long periods
  • Lift up to 50 lbs., maneuver large carts and/or racks with specimens
  • Medical background preferred which includes medical terminology applicable to a clinical laboratory.
  • Previous experience in a production environment Preferred
  • Familiarity with mainframe computers Preferred

Job Details:

  • Schedule: M- F 11:00 pm 7:30 am
  • Starting at $18/Hr. (based on experience) + benefits.
