Position Overview:
As an Electrical Engineering Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the performance and reliability of our clients products. You will be responsible for testing and troubleshooting electronic systems and circuit boards, building custom test fixtures, performing repairs, and providing technical support to both internal teams and customers. This role is ideal for someone with strong hands-on technical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for solving complex problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Testing & Validation: Perform functional and performance testing on electronic products, systems, and components to ensure they meet design specifications and quality standards.
  • Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with circuit boards and electronic systems. Perform repairs on faulty components and systems as needed.
  • Test Fixture Development: Design and build custom test fixtures and equipment to improve testing efficiency and accuracy.
  • Customer Support: Provide technical support to customers, helping them troubleshoot and resolve product-related issues.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of testing procedures, results, repairs, and any modifications made to electronic systems.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering and production teams to ensure products meet quality and performance standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Suggest improvements to testing processes, product designs, and support procedures to increase efficiency and product quality.

Qualifications:

  • Associate s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in an electronics manufacturing environment, with hands-on experience in testing, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic systems.
  • Strong understanding of circuit board design, components, and functionality.
  • Proficiency in using electronic testing equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators).
  • Experience with soldering, reworking, and assembling circuit boards.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in designing and building test fixtures.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for electronics manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with software for testing and debugging (e.g., LabVIEW, MATLAB, or similar).
