Title: Collections/AR Specialist EMS Division - Hybrid

Reports to: Account Manager

FSLA Status: Full Time, Non-Exempt

Salary: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour

Job Overview:

The Collections Representatives main focus is to work claims until payment is made by the insurance company.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Phone calls to insurance companies on claim status, reprocessing and appeals.
Work and complete daily tasks.
Review and work aging reports.
Watch for trends on denials from insurance companies.
Knowledge of CMS1500, UB04, PHI and other medical terminology.
Navigate and work with insurance websites, verifying eligibility and checking claim status.
Provide information regarding claims to insurance companies, attorneys, and other authorized parties while complying with HIPAA guidelines and regulations.

Communication Communicates well with clients and staff, delivers presentations to small or large groups, has good listening skills and displays empathy when necessary (experienced employee/manager)
