Job title: Project Procurement Director

Location: Kuna, Idaho

Compensation: Flexible salary depending on experience + bonus + relocation package.

Summary: As the Project Procurement Director, you will lead the development and execution of comprehensive procurement strategies across large-scale construction projects. This role encompasses a wide array of responsibilities, from supporting preconstruction efforts to mentoring procurement teams, while ensuring optimal supplier performance and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop project purchasing strategies and ensure their effective execution.
  • Manage the full procurement lifecycle, from sourcing to contract execution, for large construction projects.
  • Collaborate closely with design and construction teams to integrate procurement efforts into broader project goals.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to procurement staff on both routine and complex projects.
  • Set and monitor supplier performance goals, with a focus on cost, quality, and service levels.
  • Oversee the competitive bidding process, supplier selection, contract negotiation, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and resolve contractual issues, including claims and disputes.
  • Conduct financial, commercial, and risk analysis to support procurement decisions.
  • Identify and manage national and regional supplier relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in Procurement or Sourcing, ideally within the construction, manufacturing, energy, or high-tech industries.
  • Experience managing procurement in a project-driven environment.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities.
  • Proficient in financial analysis and problem-solving.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
