Job Description

We are looking for an IT professional to implement and maintain Japanese software in the U.S. restaurant industry. As a project manager, you will be responsible for coordinating communication between engineers in Japan and the U.S. and to facilitate the deployment and integration of individual restaurant systems.

  • Client (industry): IT Services

  • Working Location: Irvine, CA (Onsite)

  • Working hours: 9am-5pm (but there will be periodic late-night sessions to interface in real time with the Japan teams)

  • Employment Type: Contract, Full-time

  • Pay: $32.50 - $52/hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaises with internal IT teams (mainly in English) and external vendors in Japan (mainly in Japanese) to lead Japanese software implementations

  • Responsible for the deployment and maintenance of reservation management systems, contactless seating systems, and other proprietary restaurant technologies.

  • Acting as the bridge between Japan IT vendors and internal stakeholders to coordinate the project and to ensure smooth progress.

Requirement and Skills

  • Fluency in both Japanese and English required

  • Recent experience working at a multi-location brand/company (40+ restaurants)

  • Must have worked directly for the brand (not as external support)

  • Experience in proprietary, homegrown software and systems.

  • Knowledge of Windows, Linux, Java, and API development.

  • Business Travel is required

  • Ability to commute throughout Orange County, CA
