Candidate will join a blended team of engineers working on Army microelectronics hardware assurance effort and program protection efforts. The candidate will analyze and develop tools used to verify device programming toolchains. The position will support evaluation of FPGA, microcontrollers, and general-purpose CPU's - ensuring the technology is reliable and secure for use in sensitive electronic systems. The engineer in this role will work across several research efforts related to multiple technologies (in multiple domains) in order to help the end customer's mission of developing protected technologies (and the processes that support that development).

Required Qualifications:

  • Candidate must be a US Citizen and is clearable to at least a Secret Clearance (Candidates with existing clearance are preferred)
  • Candidate must possess at least a bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline from an accredited university.
  • Ability to review standards and convey requirements.
  • Ability to analyze and assess processes to determine if requirements have been met.
  • Ability to interface with broad range of audiences and conduct technical meetings.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledgeable in FPGA fabrication, packaging, and testing processes
  • Experience with implementing FPGA security requirements
  • Project management experience

Location: This role is based at CFD Research Corporate headquarters, in the Huntsville, AL area, and is 100% onsite. There may opportunity for Telework flexibility, depending on experience level.
