Role and Responsibilities:
The Field Service Engineer - CT/Nuc Med will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of medical imaging equipment, with a focus on CT and Nuclear technologies. Responsibilities include:
- Providing onsite and phone support to the field service organization for software, firmware, networking, and clinical applications
- Taking ownership of the customer experience by initiating problem resolution and escalation
- Engaging necessary resources for timely problem resolution
- Communicating directly with customers and building strong rapport
- Following up with customers to ensure all issues are resolved
- Supporting new product introductions and first-of-a-kind installations
- Reporting status to internal and external customer support teams
- Acting as a technical resource and customer advocate as needed
- Providing technical support to sales and applications
- Identifying deficiencies and recommending improvements in tools, training, and processes to enhance productivity
Candidate Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this role should possess:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in servicing and troubleshooting electrical/electronic equipment
- Experience in servicing/installing medical imaging equipment, with a focus on CT and Nuclear technologies
- Basic skills and qualifications in handling computer software installations and upgrades, as well as electronic-mechanic assembly
- The ability to work independently and travel as required (approximately 30% air travel)
- A strong sense of customer service with excellent interpersonal skills
