Job Description
At CBCL Limited, we are a successful, dynamic, and growing engineering and environmental consulting firm. We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to join our Electrical & Instrumentation team based in Halifax, NS.

Your Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Innovate: Manage, coordinate, and design electrical systems for industrial facilities, water & wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and other infrastructure;
- Mentor and Inspire: Provide leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and technologists, fostering an environment that encourages innovation and growth;
- Design with Precision: Prepare detailed designs, contract documents, and technical specifications for systems such as power distribution (medium and low voltage), lighting, telecommunications, fire alarm, instrumentation, control systems;
- Deliver Excellence: Provide electrical engineering advice and support across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring smooth project execution and technical excellence;
- Ensure Safety & Quality: Incorporate safety standards and risk analysis into designs while ensuring projects adhere to electrical codes, standards, and best practices;
- Drive Business Growth: Engage in business development activities, including proposal preparation and client interaction;
- Provide On-Site Expertise: Conduct site surveys, assess existing infrastructure, and oversee construction activities to ensure the successful execution of projects; and
- Deliver Technical Reports: Prepare and review technical reports, cost estimates, and tender documents.
Your Capabilities and Credentials:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering is required, with registration or eligibility for registration with provincial Engineering Associations;
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant electrical engineering experience;
- Experience in electrical system design, including power distribution, lighting, control systems, and instrumentation, with in-depth knowledge of electrical codes;
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical information, draft detailed reports, and work collaboratively with clients, multidisciplinary teams, and project stakeholders; and
- Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and deliver quality work on time and within budget.

Valued Experience
- Experience working in a consulting engineering environment is preferred;
- 10+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience;
- Electrical design experience in industrial, water, and/or wastewater; and
- Knowledge of PLC-based control systems and instrumentation.
