Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for Industrial Electrical Technologist to join our Electrical & Instrumentation team in Halifax, NS. Whether you re an experienced professional or building your career, we re open to candidates at various levels of expertise.

Your Key Responsibilities:
- Innovate and Design: Contribute to the development of electrical and instrumentation designs for a variety of industrial, water and municipal projects;
- Create with Precision: Prepare detailed electrical engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Revit, ensuring accuracy and adherence to Standards, Safety, and QA/QC policies;
- Drive Projects Forward: Complete electrical design tasks and calculations crucial to project success;
- Collaborate and Coordinate: Work closely with engineers and multidisciplinary teams, including utilities, equipment suppliers, contractors and clients;
- Explore On-Site: Assist with field investigations, gathering essential data of existing conditions, and completing field observations; and
- Ensure Excellence: Ensuring electrical design documents are coordinated, thorough and clear with strong attention to detail.
Your Capabilities and Credentials:
- Educational Background: A Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent;
- Experience: Over 5 years of relevant experience in electrical drafting is preferred, but we are open to candidates with less experience eager to learn and grow;
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in AutoCAD, with ability to create and edit electrical designs;
- Team Player: A collaborative mindset to work effectively within a team environment;
- Organized and Detail-Oriented: Ability to multi-task, manage time effectively, and pay attention to detail; and
- Effective Communications: Strong written and verbal communications.
What will Make You Stand Out:
- Previous experience in a consulting engineering environment, specifically in industrial projects, is highly desired;
- Certification as a Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) or the ability to become registered would be considered a strong asset; and
- Experience with Revit, AGI32 and/or ElumTools lighting simulation software, and SKM Power Tools is a plus.
