Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and proactive Industrial Electrical Superintendent to oversee the electrical systems and operations within our industrial facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial electrical systems, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision and Leadership:
  • Lead and manage a team of electrical technicians and engineers.
  • Coordinate and schedule work assignments, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budget.
  • Provide training, mentorship, and performance evaluations for team members.
  • Project Management:
  • Oversee electrical installation, maintenance, and repair projects from inception to completion.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for electrical systems and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency of electrical systems.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to electrical systems.
  • Budgeting and Resource Management:
  • Manage budgets for electrical projects and maintenance activities.
  • Optimize resource allocation and procurement of materials and equipment.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of electrical system performance, maintenance activities, and project progress.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in industrial electrical systems, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Journeyman Electrician, Master Electrician) are a plus.
  • Skills and Competencies:
  • In-depth knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including PLCs, motor controls, and power distribution.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Other Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends and on-call duties.
