Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering, a related specialized area or field is required.

General Dynamics Mission Systems has an opening for a Manufacturing Leadership Program (MLP) Engineer - Class of 2025 to join our team in Scottsdale, Arizona. The position provides an opportunity to develop and advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's fundamental defense services. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed clients to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to design and produce the state-of-the-art products that support General Dynamics Mission Systems and our clients. The Manufacturing Leadership Program (MLP) is a three year rotational program comprised of six, six month rotations. MLP members will work in all facets of manufacturing as well as have the unique opportunity to explore assignments in engineering, quality and business development. Program members will pursue a company-paid Master's degree as well as GDMS internal Earned Value Management System (EVMS) training - both of which are requirements for graduation from the program.

Key Responsibilities:


Manufacturing Leadership Program (MLP) Engineers on our Manufacturing team develop, implement and maintain the methods, operation sequences and processes used in General Dynamics Mission Systems production. This involves the fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies. The employee is also responsible for estimating manufacturing costs, determining project time standards, and recommending the tools and processes that accompany new and existing product lines. Additionally, the selected candidate will provide guidance to fellow engineers, helping them to enhance organizational design concepts and manufacturing techniques.
