Summary of Position (Job Purpose)
Our Client is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager experienced in managing multiple technical projects simultaneously for Networking, Infrastructure, IT Security and IT Operations teams. Project Managers are responsible for managing projects independently working with both IS and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, on scope and within budget. This position requires a high technical aptitude needed to understand project tasks and goals, communicate progress in weekly and monthly project updates, and drive projects to completion.

This position reports to the Manager, Technical PMO, with project oversight from the IT Directors from departmental projects.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as primary project lead on multiple concurrent projects
Manage projects to successful implementation with full technical scope, mitigating technical risks, within budget and on time
Understand technical scope of each project and be able to effectively communicate to the project team and leadership through project completion
Determine appropriate project structure, work streams and technical leads
Develop and maintain project plans with detailed tasks, activities, deliverables and timelines
Create project charters, documenting scope, high-level goals/deliverables, technical approach, assumptions, risks, dependencies, and resources
Manage and evaluate project resource requirements
Continuously assess and re-evaluate project priorities; develop contingency plans
Track and report on project, budget and resources
Facilitate project schedules and meetings
Document project decisions, action items, issues and risks
Maintain project document repositories
Manage external project vendor work and resources, maintaining one project plan and manage vendor resource time against project budget
Facilitate all phases of project through implementation
Maintain, manage and report on project financial budgets, actuals and forecasts
Create communication plans to detail implementation, rollout, or changes for project plan
Prepare project status reports and steering committee presentations
Develop key partnerships with stakeholders
Ability to propose multiple options based on the project context and help drive decisions
Based on the project requirements, the Project Manager is responsible for coordinating with the various stakeholders and to ensure necessary documents and/or processes listed below are generated, maintained and followed
o Executive sponsors to document scope and approve project charters
o IT department Directors to plan project roadmaps, set project goals, and manage project teams
o Architectural and Engineering resources to define technical specifications
o Technical resources to ensure solutions meet requirements and are implemented according to plan
o QA team to define testing strategy and execute regression and user acceptance testing
o Training team to define training strategy, develop materials and deliver training
o Communication team to detail implementation, rollout, or upcoming changes
o Internal Audit to ensure project controls and SDLC processes are followed

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

Bachelors in business, computer science, MIS or other four-year related degree
6+ years IT project management experience leading IT or technical projects in the areas of Infrastructure, Network, IT Security, or IT Operations Ability to build relationships and trust with a variety of business partners quickly
Experience handling large scale IT Infrastructure, Network and Security projects
Should have proven experience in delivering complex projects on-time in full
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Capacity to multi-task and provide effective follow up
Proficiency in MS Office suite, including MS Project

Desired Qualifications

PMP certification
Strong facilitation skills
Having experience with Agile methodologies and tools
ServiceNow experience is preferred
