We are seeking a talented Estimator with a background in electrical, mechanical, or plumbing disciplines to join our client's team in St. Petersburg, FL. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and a degree, ensuring strong technical expertise and a commitment to job stability. Responsibilities

  • Oversee estimating workflows and schedules to achieve company goals in the short and long term.
  • Collaborate effectively with operational teams and clients to define project scopes and analyze bid documentation.
  • Develop conceptual engineering skills, including system selection, layout, and sizing.
  • Solicit bids from subcontractors and vendors, and distribute supporting documentation.
  • Estimate preliminary designs to monitor and validate pricing, conducting thorough research for accuracy.
  • Negotiate pricing, address discrepancies, and cultivate strong client relationships.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and training to designated estimating team members.
  • Prepare and present finalized estimating packages to executive leadership, senior management, and operational teams.
  • Follow through on bid projects and accurately forecast future project awards and probabilities.
  • Coordinate with operations to transition awarded projects and execute procurement processes when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in electrical, mechanical, or plumbing estimating.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software, such as Accubid, Bluebeam, and/or AutoBid.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with high-volume demands.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and adept at managing multiple priorities.
  • Dedication to delivering exceptional customer service.
