As we grow, we seek a meticulous and experienced Post-Production Traffic Manager to join our team full-time. This is a new and exciting role at Bonhams, offering the right person the opportunity to shape and define the position.

As the Post-Production Traffic Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality and consistency of all images, ensuring they meet Bonhams standards. You will manage relationships with our external pathing and retouching vendors, ensuring the timely processing and delivery of all imaging assets. Your role is crucial to maintaining high image standards and supporting the seamless operation of our post-production workflows.

This role supports three studios across the US, where photographers collectively shoot 8,000 images per month of objects for our catalog and website. You will play an integral part in coordinating the post-production process, ensuring all images are processed efficiently and to the highest quality.

Responsibilities:

Quality Control & Asset Management:

  • Oversee the review and QC of all images from our US studio network and external vendors, including checking for color accuracy, retouching quality, and overall consistency with Bonhams' image standards.
  • Manage the organization and uploading of image files within internal database. Ensure accurate tracking and accessibility of all imaging assets.

System Management:

  • Ensure proper functioning of internal file management systems, including the timely and efficient processing of images from capture to final delivery.

Vendor & Interdepartmental Liaison:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for external postproduction vendors, managing billing, providing detailed feedback, and ensuring adherence to Bonhams' quality standards.
  • Collaborate closely with internal photographers and specialist departments to align expectations, deadlines, and image standards.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Monitor key performance indicators, productivity and delivery times.
  • Generate regular reports for studio leadership on performance and efficiency, using data to inform decision-making and process improvements.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Evaluate and suggest improvements for workflows. Stay updated with industry trends and technologies to enhance image quality and production efficiency.
  • Propose new techniques or technologies to improve visual output and efficiency of the postproduction team.

Qualifications

  • Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively in a fast paced environment.
  • Post-Production Expertise: Deep understanding of retouching, color correction, and image manipulation.
  • Image Editing Software: Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and other relevant tools for image editing and enhancement.
  • File Management Systems: Experience with digital asset management systems for accurate uploading and tracking of imaging assets.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous eye for detail to ensure all images meet Bonhams' image standards.
  • Quality Assurance: Ability to review and ensure consistency in images from multiple sources.
  • Project Management: Strong organizational skills for managing workflows and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Vendor Management: Proven ability to manage relationships with external vendors, provide clear feedback, and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
  • Analytical & Reporting Skills: Competence in tracking KPIs, analyzing data, and generating detailed reports.
  • Innovative Thinking: Creative mindset to propose innovative ideas and continuous improvements in image quality and workflows.
  • Industry Knowledge: understanding of photography techniques, particularly in the context of art and antiques.
