Bollinger Motors is seeking an MES Engineer with automotive manufacturing experience to support the development of development and implementation of NYSUS Manufacturing Execution System. This role will include daily system monitoring and production support (verify the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and general support for production process). This position reports to the IT Director. This position is located at our Contract Manufacturer in Livonia, MI

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Creates, configures, and updates product workflows, bill of material (BOM), specifications, and data collections in MES for new product introductions or major and minor process changes.
  • Diagnose and resolve causes of process and communication malfunctions on stations.
  • Modify and create SQL queries and stored procedures to create reports and functions.
  • Drive standardization across MES processes and systems throughout plant network.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and up to date documentation about the system and process workflow.
  • Provide shop floor users with hardware (printers, scanners, workstations)
  • Aid in the management and execution of IT projects throughout our growing organization Supports manufacturing metrics (Safety, Engineering Change, OEE, Scrap, Waste).
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, IT, ERP, and other departments.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through process reviews and system updates.
  • Execute development and implementation of new capabilities across manufacturing systems.
  • Work with Vendor as internal project manager to implement MES solutions, recipes, configuration or systems changes, and reports.
  • MES System monitoring, troubleshooting, problem resolution and implementation
  • Basic level network troubleshooting
  • Track and control MES devices and their configurations.
  • Work with Vendor to Modify, develop, and implement enhancements to MES applications.
  • Help to develop and maintain ERP related interfaces.
  • Keep abreast of new technology for manufacturing systems.
Requirements:

Education, Skills, and Knowledge:

  • 3 + years of relevant experience in the Automotive industry, preferred.
  • 3 + years of experience supporting information systems and infrastructure in a manufacturing organization.
  • 3 + years of relevant experience supporting MES Systems (NYSUS strongly preferred)
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering/Computer Science, preferred.
  • Experience developing or supporting applications built on SQL Server, including experience writing and supporting SQL stored procedures.
  • Ability to self-learn new technologies with little direction.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Experience with various torque tool and tooling protocols.
