Job Summary
The Production Assistant is a professional, self-motivated team player with strong signage design and production experience, excellent communication skills, and some experience producing signs using a laser cutter/ engraver and wide-format printer. Experience making signs out of acrylic, wooden and metal materials with a laser is highly valued. Printing vinyl for wall murals, window graphics, vehicle wraps, post & panel signs and other signs is equally valued. This person is detail-oriented, works well in a fast-paced team environment and is able to efficiently manage multiple projects simultaneously. This person will also be asked to assist with installations on occassion.
Job Responsibilities
Position is responsible for fabricating and installing in-house projects. The Production Assistant may also help with site surveys, will assist with installations occassionally and will work with Project Managers to ensure their projects are produced correctly installations.

- Fabricate signage using a Laguna CO2 Laser EX cutter and assemble/ fabricate as needed. Assist the Production Manager as backup with production of signage using a HP 365 wide-format printer and Mimaki laminator.
- Coordinate with Project Managers on the fabrication of signage.
- Help with signage installation, particularly with wall, window and vehicle wraps, dimensional letters and ADA/ Wayfinding signage.
- Help keep shop clean including keeping floor clean, storing tools and maintaining inventory neatly.
Regulary maintain Laguna Laser cutter.
- Experience designing signage using Adobe Design tool suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
- 5 years in the sign industry; know how to design and fabricate signage.
- Experience with the following equipment: running a laser cutter or router, running a large format digital printer. Bonus points if you have experience running a large-format latex printer, Graphtex plotter and/or laminator.
- Experience with Corebridge, Flexi and Lightburn software is highly valued. Experience running some kind of ripping software required.
- Knowledgeable in color management.
- Able to work in a fast-moving work environment managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Able to work confidently and expertly with clients, subcontractors and vendors.
