Job Description
Title: Manufacturing Engineer (Aerospace)
Location: Fairfield, CA (On-Site)
Manufacturing Engineer Roles & Responsibilities:
Work alongside the manufacturing engineering team and shop floor to create work instructions.
Develop, produce, and modify process operation and assembly sheets. (Solumina preferred)
Experienced with basic manufacturing processes, methods, and techniques
Ability to manage various projects and tasks while following approval process for authoring operation sheets
Communicates technical subject matter proficiently, both written and verbally
Production troubleshooting (cause & effect) must be a strength
Proficient in RCCA methodology and can own actions to drive down product nonconformance
Can rationalize and implement inspection methods and techniques
Skilled in project management and follows up on tasks daily
Create presentations based on process data and results to show opportunities for productivity improvements and cost savings
Ability to manage various project and process tasks related to product quality

Work Experience
Required Skills (Technical Competencies):
Ability to create clear and concise work instructions (Solumina Preferred)
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
Solid understanding of manufacturing operations
Knowledge of various tools, gages, and fixtures
Proficient in blueprint reading
Proficient in generating operation sheets
Desired Skills:
Identify areas for improved product manufacturability, reduced product cost, or improved product reliability
May have a working knowledge of 3D modeling
Familiarity with Teamcenter and NX preferred
Self-motivated to ensure accountability, disciplined to improve processes, passionate about engineering, and organized to track many work streams
Excellent verbal and written communication
Organized with the ability to multi-task while driving actions to completion
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
Shop floor and office work
Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures
Flexibility to meet business deadlines
Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9AM to 4PM
