What You’ll Do
Our Cybersecurity Summer Internship program aims to give undergraduate students hands-on exposure to one of the most fascinating and technically challenging aspects of technology: securing it. You will work with a seasoned team of security experts and mentors with backgrounds in cyber offense, defense, and security engineering, and previous roles at organizations like Elastic, Lockheed Martin, and the NSA.

We believe that a successful internship should be both a learning experience for the intern and produce a tangible positive result for Redis. Therefore, we look to match specific interns with specific projects we believe can be accomplished within the 10-week internship, based on the candidate’s specific skills, interests, and the needs of our team. Some potential projects include:
- Researching emerging hacking techniques and evaluating our defenses against them
- Building automations and integrations that help us speed up manual tasks
- Hunting for security flaws and control failures within our environments
- Helping to design and run an incident response tabletop exercise
- Summer internships run 10 weeks total, with a week of onboarding, 8 weeks of focused work, and one week to brief out accomplishments.
- Interns are compensated at $40/hour for a 40 hour week
- Our team is fully remote and internships are designed to be fully remote. However, you are welcome to work out of one of our offices in Austin, San Francisco, London, or Tel Aviv if you are within commuting distance.
