DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will complete journey-level work in several trades, exercising technical independence to determine proper methods and procedures. This will include plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, plaster, painting, air conditioning, and refrigeration work. In addition, you will paint, perform masonry, remove snow, and interpret sketches and diagrams. This role will also collaborate with other staff and assist with the transportation of residents.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. May change based on operational needs.
  • Overtime as needed.
  • Free parking!

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1; or
  • Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the required knowledges, skills, and abilities.


Special Requirements:
  • This position requires possession of a valid Class C Driver's License.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
  • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
