The Construction Project Manager (CPM) is responsible for the management of assigned development and projects. This position will manage existing and build new customer relationships projects, and manage projects which includes budgeting, scheduling, and contracting with outside vendors, holding all team members accountable for their roles in completing projects.

The CPM will have overall responsibility for an assigned major improvement, building renovation and new construction projects in the verticals listed below with a value range of 300k to $2.5M+ and a proven track record on safety, quality, budgeting, and scheduling.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing and directing projects from start to finish.
  • Directs and supervises work of project administration staff and construction engineers, as well as works in partnership with project superintendents to establish operational priorities.
  • Responsible for forecasting, budgeting, tracking/reporting project costs and adherence to project estimates.
  • Responsible for problem resolution involving, staffing, construction materials, and contracts/subcontracts administration.
  • Coordinates with construction Safety Manager to ensure that projects are completed in accordance with established state and federal safety regulations.
  • Develop strong relationships with Vendors, Architects, Engineers, General Contractors Superintendents and Subcontractors.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation through projects such as RFI logs and change orders.
  • Manage the activities of subcontractors, vendors, and labor, maintaining strict control over the accuracy and quality for each work activity.
  • Plan look-ahead schedules, maintain project development and opening schedules.
  • Identify and report problems or deficiencies to the VP of Development.
  • Document on-site activities that may impede progress or compliance with project/contract requirements.

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Must be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment.
  • Must have experience running projects from start to finish.
  • Able to communicate and be organized.
  • Strong software and technology skills are a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Extremely Organized.

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in construction management or related field preferred.
  • 5-10+ years of previous experience working with new building and site development. Restaurant construction experience a plus.
  • Experienced with commercial projects.
  • Knowledge of construction safety and safety procedures.
  • Access to reliable transportation to reach customer locations.
  • Dependable and able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
  • Ability to travel 25-50% of the time.
