We are seeking a strong and dynamic Sr. Director of Direct-To-Consumer (DTC) leader to define the Outdoor Performance division’s DTC voice. In this role, create customer connectivity across the Outdoor Performance portfolio of brands. They will execute against the Revelyst DTC strategy and create the roadmap for growth, considering all adjacencies and partnerships within the Revelyst-Outdoor Performance brand portfolio. This person will be challenged to further drive the digital presence and revenues in a digital first manner, creating consistent and elevated customer experiences across channels.

This position has an opportunity to elevate customer experience and create exciting new digital store formats. The successful candidate will have a broad, strategic view assessing where the business is today, envisioning what the future can hold, and executing a plan to evolve the business for Outdoor Performance.

This position reports to the Vice President, Head of Global Commerce and is based out of Logan, UT.

As the Sr. Director of DTC, you will have an opportunity to:

  • Plan and direct the DTC roadmap which will result in a favorable positioning of the company’s products and/or services to target existing and new audiences, in a customized and elevated manner.
  • Develop and execute the strategy to continue to build and grow eCommerce sales across all of Revelyst’s digital platforms (i.e., computer web, mobile web, tablet web, apps).
  • Provide leadership and guidance in the development of strategies, planning, implementation, and coordination of DTC activities for Outdoor Performance.
  • Create, monitor, and oversee the DTC budget and ensure gross margin, SG&A, and operating profit targets are met / exceeded.
  • Oversee a diverse team in an evolving and matrixed, multi-brand environment. Ensure team is functioning efficiently and deliverables are met as appropriate regarding development, maintenance, marketing, merchandising of sites for all brands in the division.
  • Develop new, and maintain current, effective business relationships with all partners, vendors, stakeholders.
  • Oversee and drive innovations within the organization that can be tested, proven, and later scaled across the multi-brand omni-channel portfolio at Revelyst.
  • Think broadly about everything from the general management / P&L of the sites, overall site strategy and site operations, to leading innovative, brand enhancing digital marketing initiatives.
  • Create a “sticky” and interactive digital experience to engage and retain customers. This is inclusive of website development, user experience, creative, digital marketing, paid social media, analytics, operations, IT infrastructure, and product assortment.

You have:

  • 8-10 years of experience in DTC environments with a proven track record in omnichannel leadership (e.g., brands distributed via wholesale and DTC), in a complex environment.
  • Ability to understand back-end technical platforms that support web site infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of digital marketing programs and platforms (i.e., SEO, SEM, affiliates, remarketing, retargeting) and channels (i.e., Facebook, TikTok, Instagram).
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across business lines.
  • Deep understanding of omni-channel brand management: This executive must understand the complexity of leading a portfolio of brands across multiple platforms.
  • P&L comprehension at scale: The Senior Director of DTC should be an experienced operator who has led a business and/or channel of scale.
  • Proven ability to be successful in a matrixed company: The Senior Director of DTC will also ideally have the rigor and scale that comes from experience at a larger company, as well as an ability to navigate across a highly matrixed, and newly evolving business structure.
  • Agility in Project Management and able to work under pressure, prioritize work and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Strong leader: Capable of developing, coaching, managing, and motivating a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong strategic focus with ability to identify opportunities, develop relevant business cases and sell-in to leadership. Ability to lead teams through organizational change with grace and professionalism.
