Job Title: Senior Power BI Developer, IT Project Management Office

Description
**100% Remote - East Coast Hours**
** Our core hours are 9-5 ET. All candidates need to be available during Eastern business hours.
American Red Cross is seeking a Senior Power BI Developer to support its IT Project Management Office (IT PMO) reporting functions. A successful candidate will spearhead the BI efforts and is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, maintaining, and administering all IT PMO's BI reporting solutions. Support the monthly status reporting meetings by updating the reports with the requested changes, refreshing and validating the data, and generating the pdf reports via automation.
Additionally, the role will review existing data model and work towards optimizing the solution.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for designing and creating new reports, visuals, and dashboards.
Support existing Power BI Reports that serve as materials for monthly Portfolio meetings.
Responsible for ensuring the BI reports are ready for use and reviewing the same with the Operations manager every month before the Portfolio meetings.
Work closely with the Operations manager to resolve issues and/or to provide additional support during the reporting cycle. Including identifying and resolving anomalies found in reporting versus source system(s).
Accountable for implementing and delivering any enhancements requested as per agreed-upon timeline.
Responsible for building new creative and elegant analytical dashboards and interactive reports.
Review the current data model and suggest refinements that optimize the solution.
Responsible for data integrations from SharePoint and other resources.
Responsible for documenting the data model and design of existing/new reports and dashboards.
Coordinate with other technical teams on the project as needed to understand the impact and risks when interfacing data with other systems.
Build complex solutions & tools, to include automated data flows and models to eliminate manual workflows.
Track all work using the Jira tool.
Required/Minimum qualifications:
Education: Bachelor s degree required.
Minimum 5 years of related Power BI or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
Experience in designing efficient data models in Power BI.
Experience using agile principles and practices including requirements gathering and backlog refinement.
Experience in DAX and Power Query to prepare data and dynamically create measures and columns.
Experience using Jira and/or Confluence Atlassian products.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Clear and effective writing and documenting skills.
Ability to learn and adapt quickly to a dynamic environment.
Ability to multi-task and efficiently prioritize tasks assigned.
Ability to work independently to meet task goals.
Experience working with both development teams as well as directly with business customers/clients.
Experience in supporting solutions that are in production.
