About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Business Intelligence and Data Analytics to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and implementing robust BI solutions, with a strong background in ETL processes, various BI tools, Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, and Customer Data Platforms. As the Head of BI/DA, you will play a critical role in shaping our data strategy and ensuring our data infrastructure supports effective decision-making across the organization. This role requires both strategic leadership and hands-on involvement to ensure effective application management and optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

oDevelop and execute a strategic roadmap for business applications aligned with organizational goals.

oProvide leadership and foster innovation within the Business Intelligence, Data Analytics & business applications.

Business Intelligence Architecture Design & Development:

oDesign, develop, and maintain a scalable and efficient BI architecture that supports data analysis, reporting, and decision-making processes.

oLead the design and implementation of data warehousing and data lake solutions, ensuring alignment with business needs and data governance standards.

ETL Processes / Transformation:

oDevelop and manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure accurate and timely data integration across various data sources, including NetSuite, using tools such as FiveTran, DBT, and Coalesce.

oOptimize ETL workflows for performance, scalability, and maintainability.

BI Tools Implementation & Management:

oEvaluate, select, and implement BI tools (such as Sigma, Looker, and Lightdash) that meet the organizations needs.

oDesign and deploy interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that provide actionable insights to stakeholders.

Data Warehousing & Data Lake Management:

oArchitect and maintain data warehouses and data lakes, ensuring data is structured, stored, and accessible for business analysis.

oImplement best practices for data storage, retrieval, and security in data warehouses and data lakes.

ERP Integration:

oLeverage deep expertise in ERPs, particularly in the Financial Management, Order to Cash (OTC), Procurement to Pay (P2P), Inventory and Supply Chain Management, and CRM modules, to integrate data seamlessly with the BI infrastructure.

oEnsure that financial data, sales processes, procurement activities, inventory levels, supply chain operations, and customer relationship management data from NetSuite are accurately reflected in the BI systems for comprehensive reporting and analysis.

oCollaborate with functional teams to understand specific NetSuite module requirements and translate them into BI solutions that support organizational objectives.

Data Governance & Quality Assurance:

oEstablish and enforce data governance standards, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and security across the BI environment.

oConduct regular audits of BI systems to ensure data integrity and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:

oWork closely with business leaders, analysts, and IT teams to understand their data needs and translate them into technical solutions.

oProvide training and support to end-users to maximize the value of BI tools and data assets.

Continuous Improvement:

oStay updated on emerging BI technologies, tools, and best practices.

oIdentify opportunities to enhance the BI infrastructure, driving continuous improvement and innovation.

Project Management:

oOversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.

oDevelop and maintain project plans, status reports, and documentation.

Hands-On Tactical Work:

oEngage in hands-on technical work to support the implementation and optimization of business applications.

oTroubleshoot and resolve application issues in collaboration with IT and business teams.

Vendor and Contract Management:

oManage third-party vendors and contract resources to ensure the successful delivery of services and projects.

oNegotiate and manage contracts, ensuring compliance and alignment with business needs.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

oBachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field; Masters degree preferred.

oMinimum of 7+ years of experience in BI architecture, data warehousing, and data analytics.

oExtensive experience with ETL processes, data integration, and managing large-scale data environments.

Technical Skills:

oProficiency in BI tools such as Sigma, Looker, Lightdash, or similar.

oStrong experience with data warehousing technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks) and data lakes (AWS S3).

oExpert knowledge of ETL tools (e.g., FiveTran, DBT, Coalesce) and processes.

oDeep understanding and hands-on experience with NetSuite, particularly with its Financial Management, Order to Cash (OTC), Procurement to Pay (P2P), Inventory and Supply Chain Management, and CRM modules.

oProficient in SQL, Python, or other scripting languages for data manipulation and automation.

Preferred Qualifications:

oExperience with Customer Data Platforms such as Segment, Amplitude or Rudderstack is a huge plus.

oExperience leading and architecting 2 or more Data Analytics Platforms.

oNice to Have:

Experience with NetSuite partners like RFSmart, ShipHawk, Celigo, Avalara, ZenDesk, BREX, and SPSCommerce.

Experience with modern CRM solutions in Sales and Service, Zendesk, and Shopify.
