We're a leading entertainment & technology organization in the VR/ AR space, backed by some of Hollywood's leading studios, directors, and producers. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced QA Engineer to lead our software and hardware development projects in support of our VR businesses. You you will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from conception to completion. You will be working with cross-functional teams including software engineers, hardware engineers, and cloud and VR architects to deliver innovative solutions that meet the needs of internal and external customers.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Reviewing and analyzing system specifications and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
2. Design, build, and implement effective testing strategies.
3. Develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality.
4. Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
5. Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
6. Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.
7. Monitor debugging process results and investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions.
8. Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.
9. Develop standards and procedures to determine product quality and release readiness.
10. Responsible for creating, executing, and maintaining test scripts using Unity and other tools.
11. Investigate, troubleshoot, and verify software defects and other technical issues.
12. Collaborate with the development team to ensure consistent project execution.

Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a QA Engineer or similar role in the Engineering industry.
2. Proven experience with automated testing tools. We primarily use C#, although experience in other scripting languages is fine
3. Solid knowledge of Unity and/ or VR.
4. Keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence.
5. Proven experience in project management and QA methodology.
6. Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing.
7. Ability to document and troubleshoot errors.
8. Working knowledge of test management software and SQL.
9. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
10. Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
11. Experience with Unity XR plugins is preferred.
12. Knowledge of performance and load testing tools for Unity if preferred.
13. Excellent problem-solving skills, a love for technical challenges, and a willingness to learn.
