Job Description
The Project Accounting Business Analyst is an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O implementation professional who will support the planning, design, development and launch of Bragg Companies' new Dynamics 365 F&O implementation. This role will focus on the processes supporting Bragg's core business, including: Project Accounting, Work Breakdown Structures, Revenue and Profit Recognition and Project Billing. The role will also be involved with supporting the development of accounting practices for billing equipment to projects and measuring equipment utilization and profitability.
The Business Analyst will partner with the D365 F&O consulting implementation partner, internal project team and business owners and SME's to document current practices, define and document business requirements for the future state and configure the D365 F&O application . The Analyst will also gather report requirements and create reports using financial report writer and Power BI. Additionally, this role development of test plans and educational materials; the execution of system tests, validating data conversions and supporting end-user training. This role reports to the D365 F&O implementation Project Manager.
Job Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively with consultants, Operations, Finance and other business partners to gather requirements and design business processes and operational reports in support of the Project Accounting module of the new Financial System.
Conduct gap/fit analysis across multiple legacy systems against new system and report development strategies for financial, project and operational reports.
Configure systems, perform data migration, oversee the implementation of workflow processes, assist with user access and permissions, and perform ongoing troubleshooting.
Prepare deliverables, including process flows and scripts, key internal controls, test plans, functional specifications for reports, interfaces and conversions and end-user education materials.
Author reports utilizing PowerBI and other report development tools.
Partner with other Business Systems Analysts on the integration of D365 Project Accounting with General Accounting, Human Resources, Payroll, General Ledger and other applications.
Drive adoption of the D365 software by providing personal, on-site training and support to Project, Management, Finance and Administrative staff.
Build the capabilities of end-users to access and use the data in a rigorous manner that is foundational to sound decision-making and ongoing reporting accuracy. Develop materials and provide training that establishes the required initial user acumen and can be leveraged for ongoing educational needs.

Experience implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O and specifically, the Project Accounting module.
Proven mastery of construction management software and best practices for budget/cost management, change order management, project controls and all other construction project related processes.
5+ years of experience in developing and maintaining project accounting reporting systems and processes.
Proven track record of leveraging information systems to drive process improvements.
Industry-specific knowledge, skills & abilities:
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or equivalent software product is and Microsoft PowerBI is preferred.
Familiarity with construction management and job cost practices for the construction industry.

Education and/or on-the-job experience:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, finance, computer science or a closely related field.
Two to five years of professional experience with system implementation and support for a Fortune 1000 caliber company or large, multi-location mid-size enterprise.
