Manual QA Engineer
Be part of shaping the future of data at our company! This contingent worker role offers an exciting opportunity to support our growth while being embedded with our full-stack Worksheets Engineering Team. You will play a vital role in ensuring quality by deeply understanding workflows, building comprehensive test cases, and collaborating closely with our engineers across the entire stack.
*Candidates are required to have manual QA testing experience*
Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
  • Develop and execute manual test cases for the our Worksheets product, covering both basic and advanced use cases to ensure quality.
  • Ensure accurate execution of SQL queries in Worksheets, validating outputs, performance, and error handling within different environments.
  • Document defects, track resolutions, and provide detailed reports to the engineering team.
  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers to understand requirements and develop effective testing strategies.
  • Participate in cross-team meetings to stay aligned with project goals and timelines.
General QA duties
  • Being a mentor and a catalyst of quality focused activities.
  • Using various techniques and skills to mitigate risks.
  • Treating testing as continuous activity throughout the entire delivery pipeline
  • Promote the quality as a whole team s responsibility.
  • Being a guardian of the business value.
  • Proposing and implementing more efficient testing procedures.
  • Making suggestions for changes and improvements to projects and products.
  • Working in close cooperation with the Developers & PM crew on the implementation of apps
Requirements:
You:
  • Have experience in manual QA testing, including creating detailed test plans and test cases.
  • Are skilled at integrating with a team to understand complex workflows.
  • Understand SQL, data workflows, and test automation fundamentals.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to articulate testing needs.
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to identifying and resolving quality issues.
  • Are comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, iterative development environment.
Bonus if you:
  • Have expertise in Snowflake, particularly with SQL worksheets.
  • Have experience with UI testing automation tools.
  • Are skilled in debugging and root cause analysis.
  • Have experience working with TypeScript or Java.
  • Have familiarity with performance testing and load testing.
  • Understand Agile methodologies and have experience working in Agile teams.

Compensation:
  • Up to $58.97/hr. (W2)
