Role Title: DevSecOps Engineer
Location: Hybrid onsite in Reston, VA

Role Type: Long Term Contract 1 year + with good chance of extensions

The responsibilities include execution of full life cycle activities in support of multiple DevSecOps tools which will include but not limited to:
Work directly with architect, principal and lead engineer, and other team members on design and implement tasks.
Plan and build roadmaps for the EKS and AWS DevOps Implementation.
Build Applications with EKS and AWS best practices
Accountable for meeting milestones.
Conduct code review, unit and integration testing.
Document system design and unit testing information
Automation of manual steps

Required Skills:
Hands on with EKS and AWS
Hands on with Python, Shell scripting
Have hands on skills with Cloudbees, BitBucket, Sonar, Artifactory, CloudNative Practices. Wide breadth knowledge of development and testing best DevSecOps practices.
Outstanding knowledge in Continuous Integration (CI), Testing (CT), Security and deployment (CD) concepts. Working knowledge of JIRA and Confluence
Apply engineering principles to improve resiliency, performance, efficiency and scalability of the DevSecOps eco system
Find opportunities and build automation to reduce teams interdependency
Linux administration
Windows administration
Excellent documentation skills
Self-starter and quick learner
Be part of on call rotation

Day to Day Activities:
AWS and EKS operations
Build the Aggreed upon App that leverages EKS, Cloudnative concepts and implement in production.
Retrospect on the current implementation and document for future use.
Cloud Native tools
Administer AWS console where Cloudbees Agent exists on the EC2 instance.
