Our client specializes in IT Management Consulting for the Federal Government. They have a direct hire opportunity for a Senior Angular Developer with Java and Node to work at a Federal Agency in Woodlawn, MD. The ideal candidate has a strong knowledge of modern Angular 8 and above, Node, Java, Spring Boot, Spring, and REST API. This role is located in Woodlawn, MD, and requires onsite presence at least 2 days a week. Candidates must live within 2 hours of the client-site.

The candidate must be willing to wait for the 4-to-6-week clearance process.

Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative Java products/solutions through collaboration with experts.
  • Participate in customer meetings, offering technical input to improve code and processes.
  • Work on full stack development with Spring Boot, Java, REST API, and Angular 9+.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior and mid-level developers.
  • Create new solutions and processes that help position Leidos competitively in the market.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 10+ years of software development experience, designing, building, deploying, and running applications.
  • 10+ years of Agile team experience.
  • Expertise with Angular 9+, TypeScript, Node, Java, Spring Boot, and REST API.
  • Proficient in Hibernate, JPA, JDBC, and OOP principles.
  • Experience developing apps using Java/Spring Boot and work with PostgreSQL or Oracle databases.
  • Skilled in front-end development (Angular 8+, HTML/JavaScript, CSS, YUI/jQuery).
  • Experience with Microservices.
  • Familiar with Agile tools like VersionOne/JIRA.



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Skilled in modern development tools and software like Jenkins, Splunk, Git/BitBucket, Jira/VersionOne, Nexus, Maven, OpenShift, and AWS (S3).
  • Worked in DevOps environments.
  • Proficient in Linux environments.
  • Knowledgeable in Java performance monitoring (VisualVM/Eclipse Profiler) and BDD tools (like Cucumber).
  • Familiar with XML/XSLT.




Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary range of $145K-$175K, based on experience, qualifications, location, licensure, and certifications. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
