Job Title: Senior Cloud Engineer
Location: 100 Hancock St, Quincy, MA (Not Boston)
Employment Type: Long Term Contract
Work Hours: 37.5 hours/week (No overtime, no holidays)

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and support of their Cloud Data Platform. The successful candidate will play a key role in the Data Modernization program, working closely with leadership across multiple agencies.

This role requires a strong background in AWS-based cloud data solutions, cloud database platforms like Snowflake, and experience with data governance, security, and privacy protocols. The Senior Cloud Engineer will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to design scalable and efficient cloud solutions, implement security measures, and optimize system performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer, configure, and support Cloud database services such as Snowflake.
  • Manage and support Data Platform services (Informatica Cloud - IICS, Tableau, Cognos, SAS, GitHub, MOVEit MFT).
  • Design, implement, and support cloud applications using AWS services.
  • Install and configure software on AWS cloud services.
  • Ensure data security policies are in place, managing access and permissions across platforms.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to implement scalable, high-performance cloud data solutions.
  • Evaluate and recommend new cloud products and services for efficient data storage and processing.
  • Monitor cloud service performance and implement optimization strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other data privacy standards when handling sensitive healthcare information.
  • Provide top-notch customer service to all internal and external stakeholders via email, phone, and written communication.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 12+ years of experience in implementing and supporting Cloud-based (AWS) data solutions.
  • 7+ years of experience in Cloud database platforms such as Snowflake.
  • 7+ years of experience in Cloud Data services (IICS, AWS, GitHub).
  • 7+ years of experience in Database administration and Data Warehouse applications on AWS.
  • 7+ years of experience with installing and configuring applications using Cloud Technologies (AWS, MS Azure).
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and Linux shell scripting.
  • Experience with data security protocols using encryption and decryption.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience with HIPAA and data privacy controls.

Preferred:

  • AWS Certification.
  • Snowflake Certification
