Project Manager (Broker Dealer & Wealth Management experience)

Position Title: Project Manager (Wealth Management)

Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid)

Duration: 6 Months contract to hire

Role Responsibilities:

• Partnering with teams within our organisation you will work to develop and maintain high quality project solutions as well as planning for appropriate resource allocation, whilst delivering within a timely manner and within budget.
• Direct and manage project delivery through the full lifecycle, initiate, design, build (vendor oversight perspective), test and defect resolution, implementation and warranty.
• On-time and-on-budget accountability for SDLC phase, Initiate, Design, Test and Deploy.
• Effective planning, tracking and control of all project activities undertaken during the lifecycle including risk and issue identification and mitigation. Identify and proactively manage project and cross project dependencies alongside the critical path, whilst ensuring compliance to all regulatory requirements are understood and documented in requirements
• Accurate and timely project status and project financial reporting. Balancing the requirements of the clients, project team, IT teams and Business whilst remaining on track with reporting, cost controls and planned delivery targets.
• Strong leadership of the project team, which are likely to be based across different regional locations and time zones, ensuring clear communications of project progress and delivery expectation.
• Working to get the best performance possible out of your team by mentoring, motivating and encouraging project team members to fully utilise themselves to their full potential and take accountability for their assigned work.
• Swift resolution of conflicts within the project team and/or related stakeholders, both internal and external.
• Demonstrate best practice project management, seeking to continually contribute, improve and enhance your projects and companies project methodology with the application of improved processes, reporting and systems. Willing to contribute to project governance and reporting methodology any improvements that my offer efficiency and transparent in delivery and communication.
• Engage with stakeholders in the Business, Trading, Operations, and IT teams to manage expectations and deliver a clear view of project status, tracking and remediation plans.
• Experience and understanding of some of the following, front-to-back processes for Listed Equities, Fixed Income and Mutual Funds, each products operational processes and/or an understanding of Compliance, Fraud and Anti-Money Laundering requirements is desired, but not mandatory.

Key Skills:

• Degree Qualified or Equivalent experience.
• PMP or Prince II or equivalent project management professional qualification.
• Microsoft Office, Teams, Visio, Confluence, Jira, MS Project
• Extensive Project Management Experience
• Strong Leadership ability
• Confident, and able to take initiative given client and delivery focus environment.
• Excellent Organisational skills and administration skills.
• Good communication skills, confident in dealing with internal and external clients.
• Experience managing virtual project teams and implementing processes to get the best out of a remote workforce.
• Embracing governance as a key activity in a highly regulated and low risk appetite environment.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, internal teams, vendors, and customers of varying levels of business and process knowledge and technical ability, and commitment to providing them with prompt solutions.
• Be quick to understand, adapt to, and align with the way the organisation
• Proven capability to interact with Technical and Business Management in both formal and informal settings.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deal with high stress situation;
