Primary Responsibilities:

  • Drive the evolution of an enterprise, real-time, consumer communications data infrastructure with the goal of enabling an exceptional consumer experience on both the Optum Consumer Engagement Platform (OCEP) and the Adobe Platform
  • Partner with key stakeholders in business, IT, and program/project management; build relationships across the organization to ensure initiatives are coordinated; anticipate and plan for upstream/downstream impacts
  • Represents the business and consumers - understands business requirements and ensures work is completed accurately and on-time in a highly collaborative and cross-functional environment
  • Review and approve business data requirements in Source to Target or Business Requirements Document
  • Translate business requirements into Agile Strategic Themes, Capabilities, Features, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria for migrations, new requests, enhancements, and production issues
  • Prioritize the Agile backlog and clarify goals and roadmaps; participate in PI Planning sessions
  • Accept completed Features and User Stories that meet Definition of Done
  • Drive features through the refinement, solutioning, and development process in collaboration with BA's, BDA's, Tech PO's, domain SME's, data source SME's, IT architects and developers, and program/project management
  • Responsible for work items from assignment through deployment and production support
  • Remove roadblocks and escalate issues as needed
  • Oversee BA/BDA workload, participate in working sessions, and collaborate with them to refine features and user stories
  • Communication and knowledge sharing across team and partners for new/changed capabilities
  • Special projects as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of professional experience in technology, marketing, or health care
  • 5+ years of experience in data-centric roles such as Data Science, Business Intelligence, business analytics, data warehousing, data acquisition, Big Data, or data architecture
  • Able to attend daily meetings at 8:00 AM US Central time (schedule is flexible otherwise)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of enterprise-level consumer data experience
  • Experience working with internal and external stakeholders to collect business, functional and technical requirements
  • Experience using Rally (CA Agile); experience and/or interest in being an Agile Product Owner
  • Working knowledge of health care or pharmacy benefit management industry products/services and operations

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
