Northrop Grumman Defense Systems, Global Battle Management and Readiness Division is seeking a Senior Programs Director to lead and manage a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program in Huntsville, Alabama, for delivery to the Government of Poland. The successful candidate will be an experienced program management professional with competencies and capabilities in managing cost, schedule, technical performance, and risk on a major defense acquisition program. This is an executive leadership position managing a dynamic and complex Air and Missile Defense Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program. The role requires strong executive leadership, business, and program management skills and encompasses the management of the current Northrop Grumman WISLA Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) program and the organizational stand up and program execution of a new NAREW/WISLA Future program and an accompanying Offset program.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Provides program execution and profit and loss management with responsibility for development, test, delivery, fielding, sustainment, and customer satisfaction.
  • In support of Northrop Grumman programs, interfaces, and represents Northrop Grumman with senior military and government officials and with industry both in the U.S. and with an international customer.
  • Duties include key elements of program and project management, strategy and business development, customer engagement, financial management oversight and organizational/people management.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree, plus minimum of 15 years of management experience inclusive of program cost, schedule, and technical management
  • In depth experience in program management encompassing large scale weapon system engineering, development, and test
  • Applied knowledge, background and experience in business and contracts management, Earned Value, risk and opportunity management, supply chain, and mission assurance
  • Agile hardware/software development, delivery, and logistics management experience
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with senior US and foreign Government and military officials and senior executives within industry and corporately
  • Demonstrated success in leading and managing large businesses and organizations
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
  • Ability to and manage and implement change decisions that impact the organization's structure, processes, operations, and services
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Active Security Clearance at the US SECRET level

Preferred Qualifications:
  • MS/MBA or bachelor's degree in a STEM field
  • 10 years of management experience in Functional Management, Engineering Management, or Program Management
  • International business management experience with knowledge in technology export, offset project management and FMS
  • Domain knowledge in air and missile defense and command and control capabilities
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
Salary Range: $240,100 - $360,100
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
