  1. Make sure the webpage is open.

  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Job Description:
Migration and Custom RPM Creation:

  • Ubuntu to RHEL 9 Migration
  • Assist with migration strategy from Ubuntu s DEB package-based system to Red Hat s RPM-based system.
  • Transition services and applications from Deb packages to custom RPMs for compatibility with RHEL.


Custom RPM Creation:

  • Assist with building custom RPMs tailored to the organization s environment and needs.
  • Create, test, and package custom software, including dependencies and libraries, into RPM format.


Custom YUM Repositories:

  • Assist with setting up and maintaining custom YUM repositories for easier management of internal RPM packages.
  • Ensure YUM repositories are synced regularly across environments for availability and version control.


System Configuration & Automation:

  • RHEL 9 Chef Automation
  • Provide guidance on updating and modifying existing Chef automation scripts to ensure compatibility with RHEL 9.
  • Automate the configuration, software deployment, and system management tasks to align with new RHEL environments.


Standard Operating Environment (SOE) & Gold Image Creation:

  • Build or perform a health check of the RHEL SOE to ensure compliance with enterprise standards.
  • Assist with creation or analysis of RHEL gold image standards for both virtual and physical environments.

OS and Kernel Management:

  • OS Configuration & Kickstarts
  • Assist with RHEL Kickstart scripts to automate system installation and configuration.
  • Conduct package analysis to optimize system performance and ensure compatibility with organization requirements.


Kernel & Performance Management:

  • Develop workflows to report and analyze kernel crashes, working closely with Red Hat support for issue resolution.
  • Provide guidance on kernel parameters, memory management, CPU scheduling, and other optimizations.
  • Virtualization & Cloud Setup:
  • Virtual Machine & Cloud Template Creation:
  • Create optimized RHEL images for virtual environments and cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, etc.).
  • Enable virtualization, monitoring, backup, and administrative tools to support cloud-based RHEL deployments.

System Architecture & Network Configuration:

  • Network Architecture
  • Assist with network configuration for physical and virtual environments, including interface bonding/teaming, VLAN setup, routing, bridging, and network driver tuning.
  • Storage Architecture
  • Configure attached storage, including multipathing setup, volume management, and file systems for data integrity and performance.
  • Provide support for drivers and hardware compatibility with RHEL 9 s storage architecture.


Patch & Image Management:

  • Patch Management
  • Assist with RHEL patch management processes, ensuring timely updates and minimizing downtime.
  • Provide assistance with improving image creation processes, ensuring adherence to security and performance standards.

Troubleshooting & Performance Tuning:

  • Troubleshooting RHEL Issues
  • Assist with troubleshooting any RHEL-related performance or stability issues.
  • Help implement automated solutions to manage and configure systems, reducing manual efforts.
