Network Engineer

BACKGROUND:
The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System (Board) has an ongoing need for skilled
technology personnel to assist with projects headed by the Board. Information technology
services will be required for work that requires a senior network engineer with a strong
background in data center routing and switching.
REQUIREMENTS:
The candidate shall possess the knowledge and skills as a Senior Network Engineer.
The candidate shall also demonstrate the below knowledge and experience:
- Minimum of 10 years experience in supporting enterprise-grade routers and switches in
a large data center environment - Expert-level knowledge of OSPF and BGP are essential for this position
- Demonstrating expertise in supporting and configuring the following technologies: BGP,
OSPF, STP in NXOS and IOSXE platforms - Experience designing, planning, testing, implementing, supporting and troubleshooting
large data center networks - Experience with Cisco Nexus switches (9K, 7K, etc) and Cisco Catalyst switches and
routers - XVLAN, Wireless and AWS networking is a plus
The Contractor shall deliver, but not limited to, the following:
- Assist the networking team with daily operations and ongoing projects, including
troubleshooting routing and switching issues, developing new designs, managing maintenance windows, and handling any other tasks as required. - Extensive expertise in BGP and OSPF, traffic engineering, route optimization, and
failover scenarios.

INTERVIEW: Selected candidates will participate in a phone screening. Those that pass the
phone screening may be invited to an in-person interview. The use of video conference tools
(e.g., MS Teams or WebEx) can be used in accordance with agency guidelines.
