NRGUSA is currently in search of a Full-Time Remote Accounts Payable professional for a prominent Software company based in New York. The chosen candidate will assume responsibility for all accounts payable-related matters.

As the remote accounts payable specialist, you will be responsible for processing and managing payments to vendors, suppliers, and other creditors while working from a remote location. Your primary duties involve ensuring accurate and timely payment of invoices, maintaining financial records, and supporting the overall accounts payable function of the organization. This contract position is funded through March 2025.

Principle Duties And Responsibilities

  • Perform accounting activities related to the month-end closing process
  • Record AP invoices, maintain the vendors/employee profiles, and file 1099 forms
  • Recognize prepaid/accrual expenses and review purchase requisition
  • Review service contracts to ensure the accuracy of AP invoices
  • Assist with semi-monthly AP list creation and execution of payments
  • Employees' expense report reimbursements, and credit card reconciliations
  • Maintain fixed assets WP and record depreciation expense
  • Inter-company transactions and reconciliation
  • Involve with special projects, such as the implementation of the AP automation project
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and systems enhancement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related discipline
  • 3+ years of Accounting / Bookkeeping experience
  • Demonstrated experience in Accounts Payable - required
  • Demonstrated analytical skills to actively seek out discrepancies
  • Demonstrated ability to organize work and set priorities to meet deadlines while working independently
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Background And Experience

  • Experience with multi-currency accounting environment
  • Experience with Intacct or SAP
  • Experience with the SAAS industry or a Technology company is a plus

Minimum 2+ years’ experience in human resources, preferably in the health care industry. Experience in conducting successful recruitment procedures.
