The law firm of Bechtel & Santo, located in the heart of beautiful Western Colorado, seeks a full-time attorney to join and grow its practice focused on corporate/employment law. Bechtel & Santo is an established, busy, and highly reputable law firm. Due to success over the years in its mission and singular, client-centered focus to provide the best employment-law services available to Colorado businesses, it has come to enjoy a high market share in Western Colorado. In addition to routinely counseling business clients in day-to-day employment matters, the firm handles complex employment-law cases (managing everything from administrative claims to cases before the Colorado Supreme Court.) Bechtel & Santo assists businesses of all sizes with legal concerns. All members of the Bechtel & Santo team must commit to developing and maintaining good working relationships with sophisticated business clientele.

The Ideal Candidate Will

• Be licensed to practice law in Colorado or have the ability to become licensed;
• Possess superb writing skills with, specifically, the ability to draft complaints, motions, briefs, and contracts;
• Have the ability to interact and communicate effectively and harmoniously with other people;
• Have the ability to manage the demands of a busy law practice, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines;
• Be dedicated to professional excellence;
• Have experience or high interest in litigation and employment law
  
  

We have a friendly and professional practice, and our office, which features beautiful views of the Grand Valley, is located in the downtown business district of Grand Junction. The heart of western Colorado wilderness is close by, with ski slopes, hiking and biking trails, dinosaur expeditions, and many more outdoor adventures within a short distance of Grand Junction.

Compensation

Starting annual compensation is between $102,000 (1,200 annual billed hours collected), $121,800 (based on 1,500 annual billed hours collected,) or higher based on annual billed hours collected over 1,500.

General Description of Duties

Advise clients on legal matters, interact with a diverse group of people, investigate and analyze cases and plan legal strategy, conduct legal research, draft and analyze legal documents, prepare for and attend hearings and trials, and other related duties.
