POSITION SUMMARY

In anticipation of a Business Development Task Order, Amentum is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as an Application Services Engineer to support the Diplomacy &International Development Business Line. In addition to all the necessary qualifications of a Application Services Engineer professional, the selected candidate must be comfortable working in a dynamic and high-energy environment.

This position will be considered fully remote but must be able to accommodate the Eastern US time zone.

DUTIES:

• Performs basic configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, analysis and repair of Desktop and Server systems, Disaster Recovery Systems, switches, networks, video systems. ~ Performs help desk, system administration.
  
• Provides technical support to systems upgrades and configuration changes.
  
• Assists in implementing software and firmware/hardware updates. Leads complex troubleshooting efforts.
  
• Work effectively on several phases of systems/software programming/analysis with little direction but may require some instruction and guidance for other aspects.
  
• May assist in the coding of benchmark testing, job accounting and other control modules developed internally by the company.
  
• May assist with moderately complex software applications, such as system generations, compilers, link editors and assemblers.
  
• Perform other duties and special projects as required.
  

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Acceptable Experience Level:

• At least two years (three preferred) of professional experience in an associated field.
  
• Ability and willingness to travel to austere environments as and when needed (approximately 10%) is required.
  

Education: A Bachelor degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Math, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must possess a good understanding of network software (TCP/IP, etc.) as well as relational database software.
  

Language Skills: Proficiency in written and oral English language.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Possess Comp TIA Security+ Certification.
