POSITION OVERVIEW
The Cloud Architect will be responsible for leading, researching, articulating, designing, and implementing cloud-based strategies that meets the business and technical requirements of our organization. This role requires expertise in cloud platforms like AWS Azure, Google Cloud, and techniques like infrastructure as a code, security best practices, and a deep understanding of enterprise IT systems including but not limited to SAP, Oracle, Service now and Microsoft suites of Applications. This position is responsible for optimal performance of the systems, budgets, management of published KPIs, RPO & RTO for cloud-based infrastructure. This position will collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and develop scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures.
POSITION DIMENSIONS
A Cloud Architect is a professional responsible for designing, planning, and implementation effective, cost-optimized cloud computing infrastructure using well architected framework in mind. The role involves understanding the business needs and technical requirements to develop scalable, secure, and efficient cloud solutions.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and articulate a comprehensive cloud strategy aligned with the organization's business goals.
  • Assess the current state of IT infrastructure and recommend the appropriate cloud solutions.
  • Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure cloud architectures.
  • Design and Implement Well Architected Framework.
  • Develop architecture blueprints and documentation for cloud solutions.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code practices for automated provisioning and management of cloud resources.
  • Utilize tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager for infrastructure automation.
  • Implement and maintain security best practices for cloud environments.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and address vulnerabilities.
  • Optimize cloud resources to ensure cost-effectiveness using tools like AWS Cost explorer.
  • Monitor and analyze cloud usage to identify areas for cost savings.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, and business units, to understand their requirements and provide cloud solutions.
  • Plan and execute the migration of on-premises applications and workloads to the cloud.
  • Knowledge and understanding of tools like AWS's Data Migration Services is a plus.
  • Ensure minimal disruption and downtime during migration processes.
  • Stay informed about the latest cloud technologies and industry trends.
  • Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to existing cloud infrastructure.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, OCI or Google Cloud.
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, and compliance requirements in the cloud.
  • Understanding of Virtual Private network like VPC and VNET
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages like Python, Java, .Net or C++
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

    • Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect
