Title and Summary

Vice President, Product Management - Authentication

The Mastercard Authentication Program owns how consumer authentication works for both in-store and e-commerce transactional use cases. Its primary purpose is to develop and deliver best-of-breed authentication products for transactional use cases that will drive uptake and penetration for the products and revenue for Mastercard. The authentication products that fall within this role's responsibilities are ID Check, Biometric Checkout, Token Authentication Service and Token Authentication Framework.

The Vice President of Product Strategy runs the team that identifies new authentication opportunities, assesses the company's product performance, and helps develop its long-term strategic plans for future product lines. You will identify unique selling propositions (USP), develop you product solutions working with Product Management, Regional partners, Franchise, Legal and Pricing, develop Product roadmaps, prioritize features and functionality, and create a go-to-market plan with the Regional and Commercialisation teams.
You will communicate the Product Strategy to Key Stakeholders and Customers and ensure that it is understood and actionable.

Your Role
Industry and Market Research Excellence: Conduct thorough market research to identify market size, customer needs, and competitive landscape. Your insights will directly inform our product development and marketing strategies.
Product Validation: Work closely with our product teams to define and test product concepts with target audiences. Use both qualitative and data-driven methods to ensure our ideas hit the mark.
Product Definition: Finalise the Product to launch with the Legal, Privacy, Franchise and Pricing teams will ensure that we have a viable product that meets regulatory requirements.
Market Activation: Team up with Commercialization and Regional teams to develop killer go-to-market materials. Craft compelling product positioning and messaging that make us stand out.
Industry and Customer Engagement: Work with Account Managers and Regional teams to build and maintain strong relationships with prospects, customers, and industry stakeholders. Continuous feedback is your secret weapon for refining our strategies.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Dive deep into customer feedback and market data to spot trends and patterns. Prepare detailed reports for senior management to guide strategic decisions
Product Feature Planning: Defining the plan of attack for the delivery of our products is essential. Working with the Product Management to prioritise the features that must be delivered first into market and the timelines of delivery.

Role Requirements
Relevant degree in Marketing or Business Economics
Proven experience in product strategy, market research, or related role
Demonstrated analytical skills and proficiency in market research tools
Demonstrated experience with successful project management and strategic thinking
Experience in conducting customer interviews and discovering unmet needs
Proven track record in market sizing and analysis
Strong communicator with analytical and strategic thinking skills

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
