**Job Summary**:
We are seeking an experienced ** AKS Application Specialist** to manage the deployment, configuration, and ongoing support of applications running on **Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)**. The specialist will focus on ensuring the application's performance, security, and stability while collaborating with a separate team responsible for managing the AKS infrastructure.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Manage and maintain the application running on top of AKS, ensuring high performance, availability, and reliability.
- Collaborate with the AKS infrastructure team for application deployment, scaling, and troubleshooting.
- Handle application-level configuration, deployment strategies (blue-green deployments, canary releases, rollbacks), and ongoing maintenance.
- Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and fine-tune resource allocation for optimal performance.
- Ensure seamless integration between the application and other systems, such as databases, APIs, and cloud services.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for smooth, automated application deployment and updates.
- Work with operations and development teams to ensure application security, including secrets management, certificate management, and role-based access control (RBAC).
- Set up and manage application-level monitoring and logging tools, including alerts, to track application health and performance.
- Respond to incidents, manage root cause analysis, and provide solutions for improving application resilience and stability.
- Support disaster recovery and high availability strategies, ensuring that the application can scale and recover efficiently.
**Qualifications**:
- Experience in managing applications in cloud-native environments, specifically on Kubernetes or AKS.
- Expertise in containerized applications and microservices architecture using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with application deployment strategies, monitoring tools (such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Azure Monitor), and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab for automated application deployments.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving application-level issues in Kubernetes environments.
- Understanding of security and compliance best practices in managing cloud applications, including RBAC and secrets management.
**Preferred Skills**:
- Knowledge of Kubernetes networking, services, and how applications interact with cloud-native systems.
- Experience working in regulated industries, ensuring adherence to security and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with cloud-native monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
**Education**:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent
