As a Software Engineering Intern focused on security, you will work with teammates to solve problems and build innovative software solutions. You will help ensure the software, tools, and code meets the highest standards for security as you help to create and implement secure and maintainable code. You will apply your passion for customers and product quality as you provide technical guidance to Technical Program Managers and Product Managers. You will learn and adopt relevant new technologies , tools, methods, and processes to leverage in your solutions. You will look for opportunities to raise the security bar as you apply Microsoft's security policies and best practices. Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing Bachelor's or Master's degree.
• Must have at least 1 semester/term remaining following the completion of the internship.
• One year of programming experience in an object-oriented language.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to demonstrate an understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms.
• Demonstrated interest in security.

The base pay range for this internship is USD $5,460 - $10,680 per month. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $7,040 - $11,640 per month.
