Job Details:

As a Permanent RF Payload Engineer, you will be a crucial member of our dynamic team, playing a pivotal role in the design and development of advanced electronic systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the Engineering industry. You will be working on a variety of projects, including but not limited to, the development of advanced RF payloads, electronic warfare systems, and microprocessor-based systems. This role requires a high degree of technical competence and creativity, as well as a strong understanding of the principles and practices of RF engineering.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and test RF payloads and other electronic systems, ensuring they meet all technical requirements and performance standards.
2. Conduct system-level design and analysis, including RF link budget analysis and system trade studies.
3. Develop and implement test plans for RF payloads and other electronic systems, using tools such as UVM, RTL, and DO 178.
4. Use oscilloscopes and other test equipment to troubleshoot and debug electronic systems.
5. Work closely with other engineering teams to integrate RF payloads into larger systems, ensuring seamless interoperability.
6. Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for electronic systems, in accordance with IEC 61508 and other relevant standards.
7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of electronic warfare strategies and technologies, and incorporate this knowledge into the design and development of RF payloads.
8. Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with TSI Clearance requirements and other relevant security protocols.

Qualifications:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field is required. A Master's degree or higher is preferred.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in RF engineering, with a focus on payload design and development.
3. Proven experience with UVM, RTL, and DO 178 is essential.
4. Strong practical skills, with experience using oscilloscopes and other test equipment.
5. Familiarity with microprocessors and their application in electronic systems.
6. Knowledge of IEC 61508 and its application in risk assessment and mitigation.
7. Experience with electronic warfare strategies and technologies is highly desirable.
8. TSI Clearance, or the ability to obtain it, is a must.
9. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and innovatively.
10. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
