Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the medical billing department to ensure accurate, timely billing and collections.
- Manage and monitor billing workflows to improve efficiency, compliance, and productivity.
- Resolve complex billing issues and coordinate with clients and other departments to ensure proper resolution.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of billing regulations, insurance guidelines, and coding procedures (ICD-10, CPT).
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other legal requirements.
- Prepare and analyze billing reports, metrics, and performance evaluations.
- Lead, train, and mentor the billing team to maintain high performance and accuracy.
- Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures to optimize billing processes.
- Act as the point of contact for escalated client inquiries or disputes.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Medical Billing Supervisor, Medical Billing Manager, or similar role.
- Expertise in medical billing and coding (ICD-10, CPT, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of healthcare insurance claims processing and reimbursement.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and billing software systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a remote team.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance.
