The Analytics team is responsible for the development of CoStar's customer-facing Real Estate Analytics products. We think big, creating innovative data-intensive applications that take the vast amount of data collected by our CoStar Research teams to create a fast, reliable and intuitive analytics platform for our customers. We are a collaborative group with a mix of big data, API/platform and front-end skills, and we are growing rapidly to help invent the future of Real Estate Analytics.

We are searching for an exceptional Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team and develop testing solutions within our agile product teams. This role is critical to the quality and success of our products and includes the design, development, and execution of tests for products we are developing, as well as the continued improvement of our testing process and architecture. This role will collaborate closely with technical leadership and developers to ensure we have the tests and processes necessary to release stable, high-quality products. As a senior member of the group, you will have the opportunity to drive the technical strategy and architecture of our platform.

This position is located in San Diego (UTC Area) and offers a schedule option of 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.

Responsibilities
  • Designing, developing, executing, and maintaining tests based on product requirements and specifications
  • Investigating, logging, and escalating as appropriate the defects identified during testing
  • Working with the development team to analyze project requirements with the goal of increasing test coverage
  • Collaborating with other Software Quality Assurance Engineer on the continual improvement of our testing methods and strategies
  • Acting as an advocate for testing, training and support other team members as appropriate
  • Coordinating testing for releases and participating as necessary
  • Gaining a deep understanding of the CoStar business, including the Analytic products


Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree required from an accredited, not for profit university or college
  • A track record of commitment to prior employers
  • 5+ years of industry experience as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer
  • Understanding of quality assurance testing methodologies and the software development life cycle
  • Must be detail-oriented and possess strong organizational, written, and verbal skills
  • Experience testing mission-critical relational database applications and web-based enterprise systems
  • Experience reporting, regressing, and reproducing software problems
  • Fluent in SQL and relational databases, including experience testing relational database-backed applications
  • History of partnering and collaborating with software development teams


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with QA automated testing frameworks
  • Functional and automated test development, code reviews, and site resiliency testing
  • Desire and ability to write and run automated tests in a continuous integration environment
  • Experience with testing Microservices and container technologies.
  • Experience testing software at API level

This position offers a base salary range of $96,000 - $175,000, based on relevant skills and experience and includes a generous benefits plan.
