  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Job title: AWS Cloud Database Engineer
Duration: 6 months contract
Location: San Antonio, TX/Irvine, CA (Hybrid)


Responsibilities:

Experience in Windows Cluster, SQL DB, AWS, Terraform, Always on, Python).
Design, deploy, and manage highly available and scalable database solutions on AWS platforms.
Implement and maintain IAM policies and security measures to protect database environments.
Utilize AWS services such as EC2, RDS, and S3 to optimize database performance and ensure robust disaster recovery and high availability strategies.
Monitor database systems with tools like Splunk and Datadog to ensure operational health and performance.
Write and maintain scripts in Python to automate routine DB platform operations.
Develop and apply infrastructure as code (IaC) practices using Terraform to manage cloud resources efficiently.
Conduct performance tuning of database systems to meet the specific requirements of our applications.
Ensure compliance with the latest industry standards and security practices.
Manage and support PostgreSQL database technology with optional DB skills as Oracle and SQL Server.

Qualifications:
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
12+ years Proven experience as a Database Engineer or similar role with strong focus on cloud environments.
Extensive knowledge of database technologies, especially Postgres, and familiarity with AWS cloud services.
Proficient in using IAM, EC2, RDS, S3, and observability tools like Splunk and Datadog.
Strong programming skills in Python and experience with Terraform.
Experience working in Agile environment
Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills.
Optional: Experience with Oracle and SQL Server is a plus.
Expertise in SQL Server, Always On clusters, and secondary databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL) with automation skills (Python, Terraform).
