Marketing and Content Creator – Internship –Fall/Winter - 2024-

Portelle is a digital platform that unleashes the potential of women-owned ecommerce businesses by providing them with dynamic support to launch, grow and scale. With a curated artisan marketplace and SaaS programs designed to provide education we will help them grow their audience and revenue.

We are looking for a media savvy and well-organized content creator to join our team. This internship will provide hands-on experience in infographic and video creation, writing, and editing.

Tasks may include writing blog posts, video creation and editing. You’ll get to design social media content and copy development, as well as design a media calendar. You will have the opportunity to learn both organic and paid sides of the social media process, and actively participate in the development and execution of ideas.

We are looking for interns who can receive college credit for the internship.

About you

• Develop communication materials such as one-pagers, web content, and email marketing.
• Copy, edit, proofread, and revise communications.
• Develop content for campaigns.
• Familiar with video creation
• Basic knowledge of market research, target audience, and current trends.
• Must have working knowledge of common social media platforms.
• Propose new strategic methods to attract prospective customers and vendors through content development.
• Must have a basic understanding of social media automation tools.
• Fluent in English
• Live in US or Canada

Education and Skills

• Self-starter with outstanding communication skills, both verbal & written.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Constant Contact, and common social media platforms.
• Canva or basic graphic design skills using modern software tools
