LHH has partnered with a healthcare organization to fill an immediate need for a Buyer in North Dallas, TX.

In this position, you will be responsible for managing the procurement of medical supplies, equipment, and services essential to their surgical operations. Your expertise in the healthcare sector will enable you to evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure the timely availability of high-quality products. You will play a key role in optimizing the purchasing processes, maintaining budgetary compliance, and supporting the overall mission of excellence in patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers and vendors in the healthcare industry to ensure the best value and quality of products.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and assess demand to maintain adequate stock of medical supplies and equipment, minimizing waste and shortages.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about market trends, new products, and technological advancements in the healthcare sector to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with clinical staff and department heads to understand their needs and ensure the procurement of appropriate supplies and equipment.
  • Compliance: Ensure all purchasing activities comply with healthcare regulations, industry standards, and internal policies.
  • Reporting: Prepare and maintain reports on purchasing activities, supplier performance, and budget adherence for management review.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement, with a focus on the healthcare industry.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare products, services, and market dynamics.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on market trends and supplier performance.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
